I really liked the idea of this book but I just feel like it could have been punched up to higher stakes somehow.

This book I don't think I will reread it but it has captured my mind without realizing it!!

The writing style reminded me of Cain's Jawbone. The way its told, the tone of the speaker has the same feels.
While it has also reminded me of Sally Rooney's books, there are no exclamation marks, you just know who said the lines based on the storyline- to some it may be a problem but I appreciate this style.

This book is really something else!
It made me think about life principles that we are accustomed to, Some of which are craved on us but can and could be shifted or changed by others.

This book has one of the auras that I don't particularly like but neither hate, it's more of a unique way the book is told I find it fascinating and impactful.

While the story is very great, it made me think, consider and question a lot of the untalked things in our daily life but has a powerful stand in social day-to-day life to most of the people in society.

In the 1st part:

This part was very educating!! A storyline that actually could be easily something that someone in my neighborhood could be going through or operating in. maybe got involved without realizing it or wanted to.

Ava -The female lead- should be responsible for her own actions. The severity of making fake bags can only be measured on the moral side. On top of that, Ava is a lawyer, which should mean something, the author picked her with this job for a reason. she, out of all people should know that it's not just morals but also the law, doing this has a severe punishment.

This book made me think about this topic in a deeper depth, to consider the side of the buyer and the seller of the fakes. how they get benefit out of someone else's design and hard work, not to forget how cheap the people who make these fake bags get paid and treated.

If till this part the reader didn't get why it's very bad to support the people behind these fake bags maybe by the 2nd part they will be much more convinced.

>>>>>

The 2nd part:

Olly's behaviour and the way he treats Ava made me very angry!! he takes her for granted and she did sacrefice a lot but he still has the nerve to freeze her card-WTH?- He abuses her and it has its effects on Ava.

in this part of the book, we get to see things that happened in part one in a different light, things will eventually conclude very different from what we saw and thought in the beginning!

>>>>>

I am very satesfied with the book!
The things that went down are not easy but we now know what type of people Winnie and Ava are, they are responsible for their actions, and to my surprise seems they can never stop what they are doing! thought I could never understand them!

Highly recommended!

Damn this book was a ride. It was told in a very interesting way. The whole story is told from the prospective of Ava telling a detective her story. It’s captivating and compelling. The twist was great. I totally bought it
