Got so many mixed reviews about which book to start with so hopefully I won’t regret starting with this one. Really enjoyed it and already cried multiple times and this isn’t even considered the “romantic order” so good luck to me.

So I finally started this series!!!! I did decide to read Assassin’s Blade first, and I think I’m glad I did! It definitely took some time to get in to, with the first two novellas a little slow, but from the desert onwards, I was hooked.
I adore Celaena.
I adore Sam.
I am devastated.
What I would say, and maybe this is controversial, but was the twist at the end not completely predictable?! I hope this was the point because I was so so frustrated with Celaena for not seeing it. I think it was fairly obvious from the start of the final novella. Which actually made it more frustrating.
I can’t wait to see what happens next.

No regrets about reading this third as opposed to first. In my opinion, knowing what was coming but not exactly HOW made the reading experience that much more intense and emotional.
