I think best way to enjoy this book is to reframe it so that James Bond is not the hero. He's the dummy who got so thoroughly honeytrapped by a bisexual communist MILF that the series almost ended right then and there.

Nach Casino Royale für mich der bisherige Höhepunkt der Reihe. Die Verfilmung hielt sich eng an Flemings Vorlage, so sind es die kleinen Abweichungen, die sie für mich interessant machen. So ist es besonders das Ende, dass das Buch zu etwas Besonderen macht, und wiederum visionär auf den letzten Bondfilm aus dem Hause EON verweist. Wenn Autoren ihrer Figuren müde werden, geht es mitunter die Reichenbachfälle erst hinunter, und später etwas unbeholfen doch wieder hinauf …
