Last month I read Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and I enjoyed it so much that I needed to continue to re-read the series this month.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban was always my favorite book in the series and it still hasn't changed!

It was so great to dive into the world of Harry Potter again. The mysteries, the magic, Hogsmeade, Buckbeak, the Marauder's Map; it was so good to read about all of it again.

The characters were exceptionally great. Lupin was always my favorite of the Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher, I loved his rather "unconventional" teaching methods which were also a lot of fun for the students.

I didn't remember Hermione acting more in the background in this novel. She was more alone and also felt lonely at times because of her loads of homework as well as the conflict she had with Ron. But this didn't mean that she wasn't loyal to her friends, which could've clearly been seen when she tried to help Hagrid with his trial. I really adored Hermione in this novel and I think she grew even more on me; I am quite sure that this will not change in the course of the next installments.

This was the first novel that had a more serious feel to it. The plot twist and the revelation of the real Sirius Black was fairly well done and I enjoyed reading about it. The ending turned out quite different than Harry or the reader him-/herself would have expected it at first. But it was nonetheless a great ending and I sure do look forward to reading more of this magical world quite soon.

Glad I finally got to finish this one up, and I really loved the last 100 or so pages. This feels like the point where the series really starts to take off

JKR is a hateful bigot and TERF who endangers the life of every trans woman and trans person in the UK and the rest of the world.

Nostalgia made me reach for this and it will always have a special place in my life but it doesn't deserve a review.
