Saff is about to abandon her father's friends and head to a bunker when she meets two people, Tyler and Maddie. However, due to a zombie outbreak, they are trapped and have nowhere to go except a pharmacy. Saff discovers that Tyler is going to become a zombie, so she kills him.
Maddie would have been able to get back to her family with Tyler's help, but since she is blind, she cannot navigate on her own. With Saff's help, they set off to get Maddie to her family. What Maddie doesn't know is that Saff has a secret that she is keeping from her, and the last thing Saff needs is to fall for Maddie.
Saff is a person who we shouldn't fall in love with. With her background during the outbreak, she could have been using her medical degree to help people, but the more we learn about her father and his friends, who she spent most of her time with, I understand how she had to survive.
The book shows them as enemies to lovers, but I wouldn't have thought so when they first met as enemies because Saffy decided to get Maddie to get her items, and circumstances kept them together, and they became friendly. I enjoyed them wanting to be close to each other, and the spice level is low. I enjoyed the characters, and it is a shame it is a one-book story.
I rated the book five stars just because I read it practically in under a day. There was nothing that annoyed me enough to drop the rating. I would recommend it to other people who love apocalyptic books.

Great romance for later Y/A and above, light sexual content (1 scene), enemies to lovers etc. Thoughtful disability representation and easy to listen to.
