Grady Hendrix is definitely an amazing author and i have liked almost every book he has released. I decided to take this book to America with me, as a little trip read. however i did not end up reading a whole lot.
This book takes you on a roller-coaster of emotions. The friendship between Abby and Gretchen is something that relatively anyone can relate to. At times i felt the story was slow but then it picked up again. (dips and peaks if you will).

I dont think this is my favourite  Grady Hendrix, but i enjoyed it.

This was actually entertaining as hell. Some really graphic, disgusting parts but on the whole a quick and enjoyable read. I loved all the chapter titles. You kind of get drawn in by one aspect of the plot early on that is never mentioned again—if that had been explored more and contributed to why the best friend was possessed I think it would have been more satisfying.

This was a fun read! I loved how this book did not take itself too seriously.

DID NOT FINISH: 45%

Like a lot of people, the cover is what drew me into the book at first. I would say overall it was a fun read. It kind of reminds me of those 10 minute tiktok ads where the villain makes everyone hate the main character? I feel like the book spends its entirety building up to the exorcism(I mean it's even in the name) but the exorcism scene itself is quite short. The book kind of drones on for a bit after, but it doesn't leave any loose ends.

Silly story but entertaining. I am fully aware that it's worth 2-3 stars but that I was the exact right demographic to relate and get the feels from it: female, age 30 to 40, raised evangelical, Southern.
