The first time I read this in 2017 I remember thinking Lady Macbeth was a badass who was sick of her bitch ass husband and that was the only thing I walked away with. Now that I've reread it, and listened to it with a cast recording I feel like that was a little too silly goofy. It's understandable why Shakespeare is still studied and talked about four hundred years later but. Girl. Be forreal. Tropes and cliches have to come from somewhere right?
