Elite is one of those books that seemed to have all of the ingredients necessary to make sure I wouldn’t like it. It is actually the first time I’ve given one stars to a book since I started my blog, so I’ll try to be specific in my dislikes – because we all know that what I don’t like may very well be exactly what you’re looking for!

An easy, entertaining read. I've never read a mafia book before, nor have I thought it would be that interesting. I'll definitely read the second one just to fill my guilty pleasure of young romance and machine guns.

Debo decir que el libro fue una decepción al completo, fue una pérdida de tiempo, tal vez en otra época me hubiera gustado.

I wasn’t expecting to like this book as much as I did, I was thinking that it would be a college romance story, which it is – to an extent. Nixon and the Elite obviously come off as assholes right away to the point of making Trace want to leave school.

The secrets throughout the book are kind of annoying as every time Trace accepts someone just sidestepping her questions I want to scream. It became quickly obvious what some of the secrets were but there were some surprises in the end.

This is a quick, enjoyable read and not quite a typical college romance. Which I think is a good thing. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a New Adult romance with some suspense as well.

I received this ARC from Netgalley in return for an honest review.

this was pretty ridiculous but i didn't hate it.

I'm in love with this book.

Not only the characters are fun and interesting to read about and follow, the story itself is thrilling even if not always that surprising. It's different from other new adult books and it's refreshing.
I laughed several times because some dialogues are hilarious. Trace and Nixon - and Chase too - are such feisty characters that you can't be bored.

I knew I'd enjoy this book because so far I've never been disappointed by this author's novels, but it surprised me.

I can't wait for the sequel. I really hope it'll be published soon because I can't wait to know what happen next. Just the little teaser at the end is driving nuts! ;)

I am giving this book a 4.5 stars, once I started I could hardly put it down. This book was such a fun and fast pace read that I really enjoyed it! I loved the plot and all of its characters, the writing was also amazing. So basically we have this girl Tracey who gets accepted into this really prestigious school because she won some sort of lottery to be able to go. When she gets there its nothing like she expected. When she arrives she meets The Elect who claim that if she doesn't follow their rules her time at THIER school won't be very enjoyable. So throughout the book the readers get to follow Tracey while she tries to uncover the mystery behind this school and the people that are inside! Overall this book was so much fun to read, and I would definitely recommend it to others!

Characters
1. Tracey: She is our main character who is strong willed and brave. She had her moments where she broke down, but under the circumstances it would be hard not to. I will say though she made me angry near the end of the book. ****SPOILER**** When Nixon said that he would always love her but he might have to do something horrible to protect her I don't even think she listened to him. She was so upset after he embarrassed her in front of the other students, and yes I get that what he did was horrible but she had to know he cared about her. I mean why would he get Chase to protect her if he didn't love her, I mean COME ON TRACEY! But besides that one moment I really liked her character!

2. Monoroe: Monore was one of my favorites. She was not afraid to speak her mind or stand up to her brother and she was always there for Tracey. Monroe didn't have a huge part in this book but I still enjoyed reading about her and seeing how her friendship with Tracey evolved.

3. Nixon: So Nixon is the boss of the elect and basically rules the school! Immediately when Tracey arrives he targets her and informs her of their so called rules which are; 1. don't touch the elect 2. Don't talk to the elect and 3. Don't look at the elect. In the beginning he goes pretty far to enforce these rules and does silly things like wear gloves while he's around Tracey, however soon things begin to change. ***SPOILER*** I was so happy when he realized who she was and he began to have feelings for her it was so amazing! And all of their romantic moments were so great and made me so happy! "“Need.” He croaked. “I need you like I need my heart to pump blood through my body, like I need air to breathe, like we need gravity. Hell, Trace, you are my gravity. Being with you makes me feel centered and whole, and I’m too screwed up to convince you to want any different. I’m too selfish to push you into someone else’s arms when I know mine may be the worst ones for you to be in.” AND THEN "“You’re right.” He kissed my temple. “It’s the other way around, because you saved me, Trace. You saved me when you were six and you’re saving me now.” JUST SO AMAZING! I love these two together!

4. Chase: He is Nixon's best friend and number 2. I really liked his character because he always added comedic relief and yes just like Nixon he made some bad calls but in the end he made up for them. I also enjoyed getting to see how his relationship with Tracey evolved as the story continued! There is some tension between Nixon and Chase which also adds another interesting element to the plot! Overall I thought chase was a really funny and cute character to read about! OH I almost forgot I thought it was so sweet when he gave Tracey those boots because Nixon insulted her grandmothers shoes, that was just adorable; it also showed how nice of a guy he is.

5. Phoenix:

I highly recommend you giving this book a try! It is a fast pace read that you won't be able to put down!
