I tried to push through because I was in so far into it but every time I see an m dash now I wonder if she wrote this or if it’s ai
4.5 stars. Jessa Hastings and her way with words is truly something else. I loved getting to know and dive into Magnolia on a deeper level and watch her struggle to cope with her grief, abandonment issues, trust issues, all of it. They're in the stars and in my heart too. Also, there were so many little moments in this book where I just thought to myself, "reading about this in Julian's point of view is absolutely going to destroy me," so there's that. I am so excited yet terrified for the next book I know I will be a puddle on the ground okay that's all.

I genuinely wanted to absolutely love this book but honestly it fell flat .
A lot of it felt like filler , it felt a little predictable at times and I wasn’t as invested although I do like the part how they honoured Bridge.
But I feel the story is VERY much unfinished with so many characters Daisy, Julian, Christian , Jo etc. Like all the shifty shit about Magnolia needing to stay away etc like why ?!
I really hope this wasn’t the last in the series as if it is then it really really fell short of the mark
