3ish???

I just wanted to like this series more than I did. Had some good parts and books in it but the ending to this fell a little flat for me. I got so bored and was just itching for it to end.

Overall, loved many of the side characters WAY more than the main characters. I’d love to read another Daisy book but ummmm yeah.

EDIT: now that I’ve slept on it, I’d probably bump this up a tad bit to 3.5 or 3.75 due to the massive character development in this book! Other than that, the book was just EH in my opinion

I was afraid I’d never be ready for this…
What can I even say?!!?! These characters are just everything to me :(
How perfect was it that this book was released just in time for BJs birthday!!!
Anyway, at first I had no idea how this book was going to play out (the boy already has the girl) but I loved the fixation on what happens when we die - I missed Bridget so much
Like all Magnolia Parks books, this one was fucked up with a shit ton of drama
And it was so hard reading about the box sets problems coz all I wanted was for them to be okay
(Poor Beej didn’t know what he was doing with his life, and Parks gave him abandonment issues; then Magnolia was obvs struggling which was also hurting BJ - SO THANK GOD HE FINALLY GIT HER TO GO TO THERAPY coz she literally wasn’t herself for half the book coz when Bridge died a bit of her died)
I hated that they wouldn’t fully trust each other in the first half. I hated that Jonah was struggling. I hated that Magnolia was being left out of this secret. I HATED that the stupid news would run stories every two minutes saying BJ was cheating! AND THEN NO ONE WOULD BELIEVE HIM :(((
Didn’t like Zadie.
MOVING ON, loved that Magnolia finally got closure with basically all her problems and that she finally became a Ballentine
So how am I supposed to breathe now, let alone live?
This series had literally changed my whole look on life and is imprinted in my soul (and I haven’t even read Daisys books)
Some of my favourite ever quotes came from this universe so I’m forever grateful
Larry has nothing on the greatest loves of this lifetime coz they are happier than Larry
I have some many thoughts ALSO IS THIS THE LAST BOOK ABOUT THEM WHAT?
I’ll just go cry now!

4.5 stars. Jessa Hastings and her way with words is truly something else. I loved getting to know and dive into Magnolia on a deeper level and watch her struggle to cope with her grief, abandonment issues, trust issues, all of it. They're in the stars and in my heart too. Also, there were so many little moments in this book where I just thought to myself, "reading about this in Julian's point of view is absolutely going to destroy me," so there's that. I am so excited yet terrified for the next book I know I will be a puddle on the ground okay that's all.
