This was a beautiful way to wrap up BJ & Magnolia’s story. A lot of reflections on grief and loss, some messed up family dynamics, but a nice happy ever after.

2.5/5 I rate this book with great sadness as this was definitely my least favourite mp book. It wasn’t an awful book, it just didn’t live up to the others in this series. It was incredibly repetitive, I felt like I was reading the same 100pages 7 times over. I understand magnolia has experienced an intense about of trauma but she treated people awfully. I found her to be the most unlikable in this book and I expected much more character growth from her. BJ definitely demonstrated the most character growth through the 3 books. I also didn’t enjoy the random side character sub plots that didn’t really add to the overall story (Taura Jonah Henry? BJ’s parents? The pa? Romili ?). I found myself wanting this book to end?

I’d give it more stars if I could!!! I can’t begin to explain how much I grew to love these characters since this series started. I have become so endeared to, and invested in each one of these characters and laughed, cried, and eye-rolled at each of them along the way. I was racing to finish but also hesitant to have to leave them behind! I need more! And soon!!

3.75/5 - Therapy is cool, people! And it works! Both fictionally and realistically! As Magnolia and BJ’s story wraps, there was growth. Especially, in my opinion, for BJ. This one was a sad one. Lots to process. Magnolia was more annoying than usual. Honestly, the girl knows how to throw the most annoying tantrums. But she grows up… a bit. Finally. BJ did way more growing and his words at the end? Boy done good! I’ll catch heat for drawing the parallels to Gossip Girl again, but it is what it is, and I love it. Toxic romance drama for the win! ✌️🫶

I can’t believe it’s over. I’m not going to give this one as many stars as others in this series because I really do t think much of anything happened in this book. We just ran around in circles a bit before the big inevitable big finish. While one character evolves an almost unbelievable amount, another character devolves into a caricature of her former self. I also adore Daisy, Christian, and Julian, and the hints at their story given here were so compelling that to wait to write their conclusion is frustrating as a reader. I do hope that someday the series is finished and that there is a screen adaptation. I think it would be wildly popular.
