In the best way possible-- this felt like fan fiction of a fandom I am not part of. I could practically see the anime beats playing g out in my head while reading. I wish there had been more time spent with emotions and things happening. Some big events seemed moved by quicker than they should have, given the kind of gravity we were told it should have
Overall, I had a great time reading it.

lol loved this so much. It was such a good slow burn read. It was lovely reading the love blossom between our leads. It was tender and sweet with more than enough spice. LOVE THESE SWEET BOYS.

Frankly this can be considered a DNF @ 10%. I did HEAVILY skimmed it till the end cos I was wondering where the author wanted the story to go.

Well it didn't really go anywhere, since the book is an entry point to what comes next, but it never hooked me to care about it.

Why wasn't I hooked? Well the prose was too flowery and formal and I'm not sure what to say about the writing style but it was awkward and felt clunky to me.

Beautiful covers though, but that doesn't really have to do with what is on the inside.
