Just know there is very little romance in this book. Perfect coming of age book for a teenager. A few cuss words and mentions of sex/ loosing virginity, etc. But still enjoyable for adults. As someone who struggles with anxiety I connected with the character. It was a cute, easy, quick read.

This book was a little depressing to read about all the challenges one family can face. But it was also very educating on how people can all be dealing with their own challenges. It teaches a different perspective about how to look at life - people can go through horrible things and yet everyone handles them in their own way. I loved how it turned out into a story of acceptance.

Excellent character development. I felt connected to every member of the Voss family, loved Sagan and Luck. Significant improvement in the aspects of writing I have critiqued in the past. The way Colleen Hoover carefully handles a very difficult (and timely) subject was extremely well done.

I would give this book 3 1/2 stars!
I have read a bunch of Colleen Hoover books and this was the first that I did not enjoy as much.
I still liked the premise of the book and how it talks about depression, but it took me a bit to get into the book!
I also wish we found out more on Sagan family.

When reading this book I wasn’t 100% sold, thinking it was probably a solid 4/5 stars. But then I thought the way Merit was portrayed was brilliant, I think writing about a life with mental health issues is so important and how they are not always so obvious. This definitely isn’t my fave book by Colleen Hoover but the message definitely was felt by me
