I really wasn’t sure where this book was going at first. It’s definitely different and some of the characters are odd. But I think it all really came together in the end and I really appreciate the message of the book!
This was my second CoHo book and I loved it! It took me a bit to get into (around 100 pages) but after that I flew through it. I really enjoy how Hoover writes her books. Her contemporary books aren't just the typical boy meets girl, they fall in love, argue, and get back together. Although that formula can be seen there are so many other plot points going on which makes it more interesting. I am excited to read her other books that I own!
Love Colleen and her books but this one wasn’t a favorite.
Seemed a bit unrealistic on how the conflict in the story was “resolved” or mediated but also hard not to fall in love with her writing. Loved the family dynamic and turn the family took together.

Wow I absolutely loved reading this book. It read so insanely quickly and I just loved everything about it.
In this book you follow Merit, a girl that lives with her family. There are a lot of secrets between all of them. Merit tries to cope with everything that’s going on. I loved meeting her and I was able to connect with her so well. While trying to cope with everything Merit meets Sagan. He was the sweetest person and he was able to handle everything so well. Everything he said and did in this book made me swoon.
There is a lot going on in this book, but it never seemed too much in my opinion. Everything is necessary to the story and it all got together perfectly. The ending was also really beautiful.
Tip: I would look up some trigger warnings when you’re thinking of reading this book since there are some hard situations.

This book had a heavy meaning but I felt that Colleen approached it very well and you related to what the character was going through.
WOW
This is by far my favorite book by Colleen Hoover, it's really different than her other books cause it actually focuses on mental health more than the romance
and I really liked that it was exactly what I needed right now
and it has alot to say about depression and
I also Loved Sagan and the fact that he's half Syrian and knows Arabic made me like him even more cause Arabic is my mother tongue and reading about a character who can speak my language was actually pretty cool
oh and the fact that he knows what happened in Syria, Egypt, and Tunisia was amazing.
the chemistry between Sagan and Merit was really good.
Merit is such an amazing character, nope let me rephrase that
Merit is the most relatable character I've ever read about in any bookI love her so much and i think that she's kind of a badass
I didn't like the father or the step mother in the beginning but at the end of the book i understood them, they werent that bad.
and finally thank you Colleen. for writing this amazing eye opening book
