It's not that I didn't like the book. I understood why Colleen was trying to say through the plot and the meaning of choosing help. But this family was one of the most messed up ones I've ever read. Only Sagan won my points because he was infinitely patient and had the most brains of all.
Not a bad book but it didn’t do much for me. CoHo is such a good author that I still enjoyed the read and felt invested in the characters but it is definitely more for teens.

Loved this book more than anything I’ve read in a long time! Loved the humor and personality of the main character. Had some loud out loud moments. There is language in it and some content but it wasn’t terrible. Loved the humor brought in to this story with such a dysfunctional family.
I felt like somehow nothing happened this entire book? I kept waiting for some kind of reveal or plot twist but it all was pretty straightforward and boring.
Her characters always pull me in and keep me invested. This was definitely more of a young adult/new adult title rather than her more recent romance contemporaries, but I still really enjoyed it.
I’ve read a few Colleen Hoover books and this is very different to those I have read.
To start with I wasn’t sure but as the book progressed the characters took on another dimension and I was gripped. There are tiggers warnings of mental health, suicide mentions but the way the book dealt with depression and the effects of this was just beautiful.
