When I first saw this book it had been one of the times I had gone to 2nd and Charles. I always saw it there, around 5 copies, all in hardcover. I kept always forgetting about it because there is a book that is so similar in cover and name that I would get them confused. Now, finally reading the book, I found it to be ok. The plot was decent and I found it tiresome with the lack of action and there wasn't a lot to hang onto for one of the only things that made me push through to finish reading it was the fact that I just wanted to know what would happen.

Pretty basic YA scifi. I was genuinely considering giving it 4 stars because the map at the beginning is so cool. It's got a star system and a solar system and a terrestrial map and that always gets me. Plus each location is illustrated which is really cute but none of these things make the story any better. I mean don't get me wrong, it's fun, it just wasn't revolutionary (lol).
Tot 1/3 deel was het nog oké. Maar op een gegeven moment ging het te veel over politiek en allerlei onbekende termen. En ik vond de mix van toekomst vs traditioneel slecht uitgevoerd.
Na een tijdje ging de schrijstijl ook vervelen. En het plot ook. Dan gaat ze naar plaats B, dan weer naar plaats A, C, A, D, A. Iedereen die familie van elkaar was. Een opstand.
Het verhaal kon me niet bekoren. Vanaf hoofdstuk 31 (v/d 38) begonnen met skimmen.
- Ik vond ook het vertelperspectief verschrikkelijk. Vooral bij uiterlijk. Daar had echt beter een alwetende verteller bij kunnen kijken.
