I will not subject myself to a story where someone fakes a pregnancy. Fake relationship? Sure, I'll enjoy it. Fake pregnancy?? No.

3.75 ⭐️ My thoughts on a not so meet cute, so this book bro I don’t know how to describe it like ok the title is an absolute lie like a not so meet cute their run run in on the street was like the definition of meet cute so I’m confused as to why that’s the title and also this is a pretty woman retelling and idk how you feel about that movie but me personally my feeling aren’t exactly favourable so I once I got over that and the main character constantly making pretty woman references I was able to actually enjoy the bool and the character s and the story. I mean Lottie she’s cool I like her she most certainly needs a reality check from her sister Kelsey about how lucky she is but she was funny and liked her. Huxley, I mean honestly, he was fine I mean he not my favourite book boyfriend in the world but for this tory he gets the job done, he’s passable. But honest to god I had so much fun with this fucking book and I kicking and screaming like a little girl during some of those because they were so fucking cute like this is what rom-com should be but then we got to the lost 30% and that was when they kind of lost me. Lottie was starting to get on my fucking nerves like I get it it was a pretty shitty thing for HUXley to do by immeidtaly thinking it was your fault for Dave finding out about the fake engagement (kinda irrational honestly but it was in the heat of the moment) but I kinda think you made a big deal out of a whole lotta nothing, that just my opinion but who cares what I think. Then the whole getting engaged thing at the end of the novel was kinda weird I mean yeah this isn’t the first book where there is a a marriage proposal at the forgive me session but to me it felt out of place you know and unnecary like they could have just continued dating and saw where it goes because in my opinion it didn’t really seem like they had built such a strong and unbtrakable bond during the book that warranted a ,marriage proposal at the end I mean come on she hadn’t even said I love you yet and this man is getting down on one knee. Some might say it’s a romance novel it’s not supposed to have a realistic ending I mean for Gos makes it’s a pretty woman retelling but still I wanted more. Like be serious for a second do you really think you can get to know someone that well from asking them 4 questions a fday about themselves I think not. So yeah first 60% was cute be ready for some cringe smut was pretty good but I must dress the elephant in the room… THIS BOOK IS EXACTLY THE SAME AS TERMS AND CONDITIONS!!! I MEAN FOR FUCKS SAKE THE MANS LAST NAME IS ALSO KANE (with a C but my point still stands) Obviously I like terms and conditions better than this book because I give an edge to any romance about a black woman (if u couldn’t already tell I myself am I black woman) and this book also came first but I. Don’t. Care Terms and conditions supremacy. Let me fully spell out the similarities two standalone book trilogies both about 3 brothers with the last name K(C)and where they all run a business together the oldest is cold and grumpy and doesn’t have time for love so he gets in a fake relationship for vague business reasons and falls in love with his fake partner and then we have silly younger brother who’s more goofy and unserious who has an enemies-to lover situation going on the third book hasn’t come out yet but watch them both be a second chance romance. Mean the similarites are uncanny no offence to either auto I vibe with both of series. But shows how generic this idea is. So overall I give the book a solid 3.75 stars it’s super and I love it.
