I liked that Jess was unapologetic about her sexuality. I also appreciated that it came back to bite her in the ass. This was a fun, if vapid read, but I will continue reading the other books in the series.

This was the first LGBT romance I’ve read and I loved the intricate representation of lesbians. As a lesbian, I found myself in familiar territory, like being in a gang where you know all the in jokes. I laughed and winced along with Jess, the main character as she continued to end up in terrible situations of her own making. The pacing was a little slower than that of my usual read, but it certainly didn’t detract from the story, or the characters who I came to love. Lydon expertly builds a world rich in detail, and does what I love most from an author which is to push their protagonist to the into all sorts of chaos. I loved the ending too, I got exactly what I wanted :D

As the first book in a series of standalone I went in with no expectations and left disappointed.

I didn't really like Jess and had a hard time sometimes getting into the story.

That's it. I don't hate it but can't recommend.

I thought this book was pretty well-written; my only issue was that we didn't particularly get to see Lucy's side of things (then again -- first person POV limits the reader to only what Jess thinks/feels).

This was very hard work to get into. It felt like by the time something actually happened, the book was over
