There are a lot of typos in this book and just incorrect English. It’s hard to read because of that and the fact that the author is trying to shove as many vile acts into a very short book. I’m not really sure the point of this book tbh,

Don't give up on me

I have always liked mafia books and this one didn't disappoint. I was impressed with this being a debut novel. The story is well written and flows nicely. Alora had has a terrible childhood that has made her close off her heart to love. When she is forced to marry Lucka and he develops feelings for her she does everyday to push him away. Will his love for Alora be enough to save her from a life without love? Read to find out!!

Long after I've finished this book, I was still hung up on the story and the characters, mainly Alora. Not all badass fmcs were written to perfection, but miss Sabrina G. has done it oh, so right.

Not only Alora was the epitome of female empowerment and strength, she's a boss lady who, by the product of her environment, has grown to turn dust to gold.

Her beginnings were tough, and it was hard for me to read - all the maltreatment she received from her cruel father. She learned how to protect herself physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Luka was born in the same circumstances as Alora, albeit not having experienced what she did. I loved the way he was written: exuding power and lethality, while being vulnerable and welcoming to Alora at the same time.

His loyalty knows no bound, and his determination was one of his best assets. Such a sucker for a story most especially when the guy falls first.

The two of them were twin flames who were destined to burn brighter than the sun together. A marriage of convenience to join two warring families to save a crumbling consortium - who would surrender first?

Fast paced with no dull moments, this book will hook you from the first chapter, make you fall in love and sympathize with the characters, and blow your mind with all its surprising twists and turns.

And talk about sizzling smut. Just what one would expect with two mcs exploding with chemistry and bubbling with restrained tension.

I highly appreciate the trigger warnings the author put up at the beginning of the book. Goes to show nothing can spoil a story when it's a good one.

There is no love except for the love I have for this book and the following ones in the Consortium Wars series that I'm very much most excited to read. Dark mafia romance has never been this good.

This book is a dark mafia romance. I loved it and it kept me wanting to keep reading. Luka and Alora had to grow up faster than they should have being and having to deal with being heirs to their mafia families. But Alora will come to find out why she never got the love from her "father" like she always wanted... Luka had to deal with his father selling his brothers gf. So they both came from messed up situations. They are forced to get married so Luka can take over Aloras family since women aren't aloud... (blah blah blah We have heard that a million times) but in the end it will surprise you.. I cant wait to read the next one.

This is an enemy to lovers, arranged marriage, mafia dark romance. This was a three star until the plot twist started then that took it to a 4 star. It was a three on the spice scale. This was a good book but it was a slow burn for sure. This book had some good plots and you got to know so many characters that could have a story all on there own. I can't wait to read more.

I read this in anticipation of the BBM tour for Book 2, There Is No Forgiveness.

I felt for Luka and Alora. They each have been through a lot when it comes to their hardcore upbringing from their "hardass" fathers.

It was nice to see that, even when forced, they still ended up being there for each other through their forced arrangement. And in the end, they ended up being so much more for each other.

Another character I loved was Arturo. He was the big brother anyone would be lucky to have. I also felt his pain too. 🖤
