This had me laughing out loud so many times that I'd give it 5 stars on humor alone. The banter between the teammates, the regency romance, the depth of the feelings explored, all these things came together for a great story.
The narration by Andrew Eiden was ok, although I think it could have been better cast. Maxwell Caulfield did a great job with the book romance narration.

This was my first time with author and book and it was so cute! The little romance in the middle and end of the boo was so great. I loved how the men gathered around and talked romance via books.

This book was nothing like I expected. A group of hot shot baseball players have a romance novel book club. Manuals as they say on how to treat their wives. It ended up being a hilarious read and a cutesy little romance.
Gavin has it all an adoring wife, kids and an amazing career. When he finds out his wife has never had the ultimate experience instead she has been faking it their entire relationship his life is turned upside down. Too late he realizes his mistake was blaming her only. His fellow crew mates let him in on the secret to their amazing marriages. Follow the written word. It is laid out for you exactly how to please and love your woman. âRomance novels are primarily written by women for women, and theyâre entirely about how they want to be treated and what they want out of life and in a relationship. We read them to be more comfortable expressing ourselves and to look at things from their perspective.â

THIS. I ADORED this book!!!! I loved how it tackled a lot of the stigma surrounding romance novels and toxic masculinity in our society. I found it SO charming that these men would start a book club reading romance novels to be better partners for their wives. It was interesting to watch them learn to appreciate the romance genre and try to see the world through a womanâs eye in these books. Also, it was just really heartwarming to see them all be super supportive of each otherâs situations. Our MMC, Gavin, loves his wife so much and spends this entire book pining for her, and I truly couldnât get enough of it. We see so much character growth from both MCâs by the end, itâs amazing! One of my favorite things about the way this book is written is getting the snippets of the book theyâre reading sprinkled throughout. Itâs just all around a great read!
