Yes, 1000x YES. There was nothing about this book I didn't like and no clue left unconnected from the mystery. And the narrators! The character foils! THE SUSPENSE!

Really good and suspenseful book! I absolutely love Samantha Downing’s writing style and this book had me hooked from the start. I was so mad when Fallon died, I really wanted her and Zach to work together. I also wish we had seen more of Allison and maybe got her point of view during one chapter. One of the biggest things that’s missing for me though was Teddy’s reaction to his reputation being tarnished. The last we get of his point of view is him believing he won and I wanted him to realize he lost. Although, I think the point is that he never would’ve thought that because he doesn’t see himself as he is, which is a horrible person and teacher. For my fan cast, I’m thinking Milo Manheim or Louis Partridge as Zach and Penn Badgley or Jesse Eisenberg as Teddy.

Again Samantha Downing blows my mind with her plots.
I loved the book so much. Not as much as My lovely wife and definitely more than He Started it.
I just love the dark humour imbedded between the lines.
How every character has his/her hidden agenda. No one is perfect indeed.
I couldn’t stop hearing the audiobook not because the story was so interesting but because David Pittu adds tons to the eccentricity of the characters.
I wished the ending took a different turn but nonetheless it was incredibly executed!
Can’t wait for more SD books narrated by DP!!

some parts felt super slow but man that ending WAS soooo good i loved how it left off
i also liked how the characters where all super interesting- even if they seemed flat, which may contradict itself, butttttt i was always wondering what a character would do next or how they would respond to a situation, not because the characters themselves where unpredictable or anything, but because the situation was so insane, the characters themselves felt kind of boring and (besides Frank) never did anything outside of what the reader learns to expect from them (i guess that means not enough character development?). only character who i 200% back is Frank. i loved him so much i capitalized his name in this review.

FOR YOUR OWN GOOD was good good!!! It was really hard to put down and went on with my errands but when I did, I couldn’t stop thinking about the story and desperately wanted to see how it would end. I always enjoy books with unlikeable characters and Downing definitely delivered.

The reasons I couldn’t rate this 5 stars:
1) So many climaxes in this book and I thoroughly enjoyed all of them but the ending wasn’t dramatic enough and it felt rush.
2) errors and typos… I’m not a good writer at all but even I could spot way too many errors in this book.

Still highly recommend you give it a go! Such a fun book!
