It started out strong and then somewhere around 60%, they just got too reasonable and the fire was out for me. I wanted to finish it because of the twists but otherwise I’m not quite in the mood to finish the rest of the series.

The epitome of Italian mafia books.  This book had everything… age gap, sister’s ex, second chance, secrets, twists, rollercoaster of emotions.  I devoured this book!  Sierra is everything you could want from a mafia FMC.  She won’t be stepped on, she holds her own, knows what she wants, and takes it.  And Ben… rough childhood, lost and insecure growing up, thrown into the mafia world and takes it by the reins.  The side characters were everything as well!  I could totally get behind a Natalia and Leo romance and I can’t wait to find out their story in the next book.  As well as Alessa and Serena who were both so loveable.  And even a second-generation story for Rowan because he was just the cutest!

This one has been on my TBR for a while and I'm glad I finally got around to reading it. I love a good "pregnancy after a one night stand" trope, but this book was so much more complex than that. I loved how complicated all the relationships in this story were, from Sierra and her family, especially her sister. To the other sub characters being set up for future books, and finally the sweet and beautiful beginning yet equally complicated relationship between Ben and Sierra, their story progressed really well and in a way that felt believable to me as a reader, and Rowan was adorable.

I knew I was going to like this book, Siobhan David wrote the Sainthood series which is one of my favourite RH ever. I was not let down. Also love duel POV.

I'll just be over here with my unpopular opinion on how trash this book was lmao... (Aren't we tired of these fake alpha males who are actually just controlling, borderline emotionally abusive, and overpower these weak-ass doormatty heroines who think some sassy one-liners make them strong?)

HOLY MAFIA ROMANCE! This is my first true Mafia Romance book that I’ve read. This book gave me all the feels of romance, thrill, heartache, good girl/bad boy love that I could ever want. Condemned to love will have you sitting on the edge of your seat but the happy ending is SO worth it!

Siobhan’s writing style has a way of sucking you in and making you feel like your watching a movie while you’re reading. Her character and story development are ALWAYS on point!

As much as I liked Bennett, this storyline just felt so convoluted and my interest started waning early on.

Firefly and Ben

I am pretty sure Siobhan Davis can never go wrong when she writes a story. I finished another story of hers and immediately jumped into reading everything that she has to offer. This was one book I came across and fell in love with early on and I didn’t realize that it was going to go on to be a series. I have decided to reread this one so that I can catch up and read book 2 and 3!

But let’s talk about this book.

Ben and Sierra are the most precious couple. It starts off with Sierra running into Ben when she is in a desperate position. Ben, being the mafia man he is, saves the day and stealing her panties all at the same time. Fast forward a few years, Ben also unknowingly gives Sierra a son. A son who lights up the pages of this story.

This book will make you hate Ben and love him all in the same chapter. I fell in love with the love story of Firefly, Ben and their little Firecracker. Ben is a big old softie at the core of his heart and Sierra is his soulmate. She is absolutely precious and the best mama. I would highly recommend this to anyone who loves Miss Davis’s writing style but also loves a mafia stories as well. I cannot say enough good things about this book. On to book 2!

A favourite

This is one of my favourite mafia stories and it holds up well on re-read. I love the characters and the stories of their lives.

This is my first Siobhan Davis book and it definitely won’t be the last. Condemned to Love is a one of those action-packed mafia romance full of twists. Ben was dating Saskia when he first met her Sierra (the heroine). They meet again eight years later when Sierra was stuck in a dangerous situation where Ben helped her, leading to a one night stand and a secret baby. Six years passed before Ben found out about his son and did everything to be with his son and the son’s mother. I love all the twists and really like this book but admittedly, there were a few things that bothered me; how Ben and Sierra met again, the unnecessary ‘I need to get away from you to protect you’ inner struggles, the lack of explanation for Saskia and DeLuca’s twisted personalities/delusions. But all in all, it is a great read.
