I remember when I read Strange the Dreamer, that I should have put it down and picked it up another time. I knew the book was good, I just wasn't in the right headspace to appreciate the pretty writing and all the descriptions. I opted to get Muse of Nightmares as an Audible, and my goodness. I was definitely in the right headspace this time AND the narration was fabulous. I was absolutely engrossed in this story and dearly adore it. I know it's currently a duology, but you never know! I'd definitely love to enter this fantasy world again and have an update on the characters, I truly had a blast and now I'll definitely be checking out Laini's main series she's known for!

There was one point in the middle of this book where I just wanted MORE of Kora and Nova’s story line and when everything merged together, it did not disappoint!

The way Laini Taylor dealt with the topics of trauma, grief, and loss in these books was just really incredible

ok basically laini Taylor is a really good writer and is really good at world-building and character growth and plot and all of the key elements of a good story and I always come away from her books impressed.
