If you are looking for a hot, steamy, and dark romance novel then Desperate Measures will fulfil your wishes. This book was delicious and mind-blowing. In the beginning, I was completely anti-Jafar but as the story progressed I loved him. The ending just shook me and I still can't believe that happened. The character development of Jasmine was just wow. She was an unexpected strong female character. And of course, I am shipping them hard right now.
If you can handle all the darkness and roughness of this genre then do pick it up. I am sure it will entertain you and leave you spellbound with the ending.

To be honest, I fell asleep a couple times, so I got a little lost. But I give it a 3.99999

I think my only reservation is the lack of world building. Beyond the three locations mentioned in the book, I know nothing about their world. There are references to "royalty" but no explanation. What lies outside of Carver City? I hope the other books aid to answering my questions.

I think I have become a fan of Katee Robert. Only way to find out is to try another one of her books. But for now, I am going to need a BREAK from this series.
