This is my first Katee Robert's book and I quite enjoyed it.
This a retelling of Aladdin wherein Jafar is Jasmine's love interest.
It follows a story wherein Jasmine's father has sold Jasmine to Ali and that they will eventually get married. But Jafar, wanting power and the kingdom, killed Jasmine's father and decided to own Jasmine from there on.
This is contains explicit and kinky scenes such as when Jafar and Jasmine had a sexual encounter and Hook was watching them. Or when Jafar told Meg that she can join them one time in one sexual encounter. Or when Hades and other men wanted to touch Jasmine but they could only watch how Jafar devours her.
This is also a queer book because of the scene where Meg wanted and craved for Jasmine's body.
I'm excited to read the whole series, as it is a retelling of the disney villains.

twas another audio listen over the last few days. definitely enjoyed this one but again the daddy kink gave me the giggles
For what It is, this book is really good. If you are looking for a smutty AU of Jasmine and Jafar then I recommend you pick this up, its fast pasted and easy to get through. Though I will say there were moments where I found my self skimming and rolling my eyes bc of the dialogue and inner monologue (which isn't uncommon for me in smutty books) It was still enjoyable.

I know that in this genre, readers go through a book so fast that authors need to keep churning them out quickly. That is what this story felt like. It's not the best written, which is okay, if that's not what you are looking for with this genre. But I prefer mine a little more well-written.
