i’ve read (and enjoyed!) a few of katee robert’s dark olympus books, so i figured it was time to give this series a go (ignore the fact that i haven’t finished that other series yet…). i don’t really have much to say about this book, honestly. i enjoyed it, though, and will be reading the sequel at some point!
Little slap in the face of morally grey spice! I really enjoyed this twisted take on Jasmine and Jafar!

A spice level is pretty high, even though it’s not my personal favorite kind of heat, it was a great retelling of Jasmine & Jafar, there is some dubcon, make sure you are mindful of you have triggers.

having read Robert’s more recent writing before this one, i can really see how she’s grown as an author. The plot of this one felt pretty weak and the grammar/mechanics would have benefited from another proofreading…
What a great way to start a series! I have been wanting to read these for a while and it did not disappoint. The spice level is amazing. Watching the relationship change and unfold was so fun.
