This book begins rather abruptly and plonks you right in the middle of this parallel universe of Carver city, so that was a little jarring. But it’s a shorter book, so I get it. However, you soon get immersed in this dirty, dark, kinky world where heroes are villains and villains are the true MVPs. As promised, Jasmine and Jaffar’s story is dark, Forbidden, and deliciously sexy. Although the main characters in this one didn’t grab me as much as Hades whose story I’m already looking forward to so very much, this was quick, compelling read.
