i wanted this book to give me 90s dark, twisted, villain jafar. instead, it gave me live action jafar who’s actually just kind of a softie?
also, jasmine killing ali felt very anticlimactic. very “arya killing the night king with the silliest move.”
i DID like the twist that ali had bought jasmine from hades! and the mentions of all the characters from books later in the series was neat. i just don’t know that i’ll continue with this series.

I don’t think I’m even going to give this a rating. Quick, easy read. Definitely straight smut with a single sprinkle of plot just to move through the smut scenes basically. Not a fan of the daddy kink but gots to see it through I guess.
The cnc thing also isn’t super my thing but I feel like it was done better than in other books I’ve read bc the consent was actually there, and there was a trigger warning for it that I ignored so I know I really can’t say anything about it.

The smut 10/10 never disappoints but really the plot didn't really take a turn until the last 30 pages. Was no real conflict outside of the two characters to indicate anything would ever happen which made it kinda slow.
