THAT WAS SO GOOD. OMG.

My heart can't handle these emotions. I wish there was another book or a spin-off or something to see what happens next, but I guess I'd rather it end now than be dragged out. I guess my imagination will have to do.

I loved the character complexity May was able to give everyone by the end of the story, including a total redemption arc for someone. The last few chapters took me on a total emotional roller coaster and I LOVED IT.

Do yourself a favor and read this series. It's great.

I loved this book and the ending. But let me tell you Derek’s death KILLED ME DEAD

Was glad to have a happy ending with Kam and Kieran

This felt a bit like a Marvel side project at times, the Immortals, perhaps. Aileana, Kiaran, Sorcha and Aithinne all dashing about, wielding powers, fighting fantastic fights. I rather felt for Catherine and Gavin by the end (being some of the last humans alive) as they were rather like Hawkeye and the Black Widow in The Avengers, merely human, while accompanying Thor (an actual god) Tony Stark in his supersuit, Hulk ... well, you get the gist. Their chances of survival in combat with such beings are slim.
It's fast paced enough and rattles along but started to get rather samey. The dialogue switched from high drama to Buffyesque banter rather frequently which jarred at times.

I always enjoy a happy ending, and at least Kam gets to have a relationship with someone who has feelings and stuff. But, Ms. May I will NEVER forgive you for Derrick. NEVER!

All in all, a well written fantasy with some fantastic friendships and a romance that will probably have others swooning, even though it wasn't my thing.

The Fallen Kingdom is a book I have been excited to read since I finished The Vanishing Throne, and it's been a long torturous wait for its publication. When it arrived I may have done a happy dance, excited to have it in my hands. However I was also nervous to start it, wondering if it would live up to the previous books and my expectations.

The Fallen Kingdom was everything I expected and more. I loved getting to see how far the characters have come, how much the world is changing, as how far Aileana has come and has to go. The journey for Aileana isn't easy, and she has to face her past and ask for their help in order to save the future for herself, her friends, and the world. She has powers that are not hers, that are slowly killing her, each use bring her closer to death, Kiaran, forced to go to war against his sister, is not himself, Sorcha is back and has her eyes set on one thing only, and will do whatever it takes to get what she want. Aithinne is just as crazy but also loyal to Aileana, aiding her in any way she can even if there is no guarantee of the outcome.

'I hate this,' I mutter.
'Really? I'm having a grand time,' Aithinne says brightly.
'That's because you're barmy.'
'I believe you just mispronounced magnificent.'

The Fallen Kingdom wouldn't be a book in the Falconer series without it's twists and turns, plot twists, and tears........lots and lots of tears. I loved every page of this book and jumping back into this world was the easiest thing to do. The Fallen Kingdom is full of beautiful imagery, breathtaking scenes, and jaw dropping fight scenes.

Final Verdict
The Falconer series is a series that has to be read, and The Fallen Kingdom definitely takes this series out with a bang.

I was nervous to finish this. I always get nervous to finish a series. This did not disappoint I absolutely adored the ending and per usual started to tear up.

I give this a 4.5 due to some parts being dragged on and others I feel flat out unnecessary.

I do recommend this if you enjoy a bad ass female that is real and raw with her emotions and overcomes alot of shit to finally reach a ‘happy ending’.

If I say more I may give it all away but please check this trilogy out. Give it a chance and I don’t believe you will be disappointed.
