This book overall had a decent storyline that allowed the smut to carry on throughout the book. That’s what my three star rating is for. I will say as a warning this book did have an adult lusting after a child (15-18) so I just had to ignore that because I do not care for that in books and age them up. The storyline in book one jumps from past and present the entire time I am hopeful now that we are in present time that won’t continue for the rest of the series. There was not one moment of the book where I was surprised even with the cliffhanger at the end but honestly when I’m reading a smut heavy book I don’t expect to be surprised. The main female character was represented as this really smart woman and I feel like she was smart except in regard to what I call the glaring red flags of her friend that even her husband warned her about(weird). Also I was annoyed with the “we need to talk the three of us” convo that kept coming up but then we never had that talk even though we had months to have that chat instead ash just manipulates situations when he feels like it with embry and Greer which was annoying. I was excited to see the conversation happen and them work through that together before Ash forced them sexually on each other. I think overall this book delivered on what it is advertised as and was a great filler book in between heavier reads.
