Wait a damn minute. 3.5⭐️
This book was….fun..
Wow. Ok. Ok. There were a lot of swearing, weird things and stuff but oh it was entertaining. The twists were..kinda predictable and kinda not. Like I knew what was going to happen but I just didn’t know how it was going to happen. Anyway, that’s not that important anyway.
The side characters were ok, cute, I loved Cillian. Then the MCs..well Ares is your typical mafia type of MC, but he was more lively, more..alive, I think? While Neve…oh my god I almost dnf because i was so annoyed by her in the beginning. This girl has the the temper of a 5 years old child and you’re telling me she’s a master student? Bruh. I mean she remained childish throughout the entire book but she became more torelable, I guess? I don’t know man, I guess I kinda got used to her and she did kinda grow up a bit but everything was just so blurry.
Barely anything was deeply explored except for the smut. Ye, the smut was good, the dirty talk was..a bit much, but it was spicy, nonetheless. The plot was..there? I think the story about the killer was a nice touch but then again, everything was shallow. The spacing was..weird. It took me a while to get used to it, tbh. But I’m definitely reading the other books in the series though. Gah. Cillian, Cilllllllllllian, here I come.

Great start to the Hearts series
This was a great first book in the Gearts series.
I read this book for the first time about 9 months ago but got distracted from moving onto the next book of the series. I reread it now so I can move onto Cillian's book next with a fresh perspective of the world.
Ares was a great, possessive MMC, and Neve was such a spunky FMC. The dynamic of these two was electric, and I enjoyed how much fun and spicy times they had together.
It was an enjoyable read for me with promises of great things to come with the rest of the Kildare/Drakos families.
