A little confusing, as it's a different size from the rest of the runaways books, and since it's a combo, had lots of characters I'm not used to. Also super actiony - I missed the intrigue of the early Runaways, but I REALLY like most runaways, and I did like this one. I really miss Arsenic, though.

I very much enjoy both the Runaways and the Young Avengers, so I found this collection to be a bit disappointing. It ended abruptly and while we do get to see some more interesting backstory for Xavin, I expected there to be more here for two teams that have Skrull members. Most of the teams are missing--potentially because we see what they're up to in other issues--but it made it feel off for me. I wanted to like this more than I did.

For: fans of superheroes/comics; readers wanting an storyline that they can keep up with; readers wanting younger heroes to follow--they're all tweens and teens.

Possible red flags: characters in peril; violence; blood; death; invasion and hostile takeovers; property damage; religious extremism; language.

The terrible art was so distracting that it took away from the story. The witty banter of the Runaways seemed to have disappeared as well. Not much to like here.

It was a nice nice story, even though it's too short and it left me in suspense at the end. But well, I really liked it. And the art in this one omg, it's so beautiful, I'm in love with the style of the eyes, it reminds me of anime idk why.
I'm always glad to read crossovers between Young Avengers and the Runaways I wish there were more.

This should have been so much better.

This book is a little bit hampered by the reputation of everything involved. [a:Brian K. Vaughan|24514|Brian K. And [a:Christopher Yost|38491|Christopher Yost|https://s.gr-assets.com/assets/nophoto/user/u_50x66-632230dc9882b4352d753eedf9396530.png] had a lot of promise on his X-Men books. Add to that the intrigue of both Young Avengers and Runaways definitely having Skrulls on their teams, but Skrulls who are heroes, and this should have been excellent.

It was ok. I don't remember anything about being terrible. But I don't remember anything good, either. In fact, I put it down, read the next book on my list, and when it came time to update Goodreads yesterday, I'd forgotten that I'd even read it. I still couldn't tell you much of what happened apart from ... Skrulls and .... New York? Nothing from it remains in my memory. Like many of the Secret Invasion books that I've read so far, it's not terrible, but it's also not terribly good.
