I'm not crying, it's just raining.

Inside.

There are few things I have enjoyed as much as this series.

Artistically and thematically brilliant, brimming with inclusivity, overarching plots that tied together, enemies and friends and the spaces in between, generations of Lumberjanes taking friendship to the max.

The dinosaurs were a bonus.

I don't know why we had to beware the kitten holy, but I'm glad we beheld it.

4 years of friendship.

2 Greek deities.

1 summer.

I am sad to see this incredible series end! Love the Lumberjanes and this was a sweet ending to the magical summer of adventures.

Last regular issue, so here is my review!

Lumberjanes is a summer camp for people who identify as girls, though I am sure that they would not kick an enby out. We have a lesbian couple, and an amab person (assigned male at birth) who uses female pronouns.

The issue is simple: The camp is in the middle of the woods. Woods that are filled with the usual critters, but also with beings from myths and legends - which includes Greek gods, yetis, sasquashes and all manner of creatures.

A typical day goes like they: The people from cabin Roanoke go out in the woods to take a walk. One of them climbs a tree to get a good view, and finds lighthouse in the distance, so they decide they wanna check it out. The lighthouse is guarded by yetis, and in the lighthouse they find a magical artifact, which, in turn, belongs to somebody who will come up later.
One adventure flows in the next, and though our friends fear that summer is short, they try to make the best of things.

All the things you heard about how awesome this series is are true. It's fun, fluffy and exciting and queer.
Now that I finished the main part, I'll go look up the specials, and then I'll have to read Gotham Academy so I can read the crossover between both.
