This is one of the best books I have read in a long time. It was so beautifully written every woman had her own voice in my head. Thank you so much for writing this book. I know I will come back to read it again and again.

I liked this so much better than her other book. I was ready to never read this author again but happened to have this as a free e-book. So, so much better. There were still a couple corny moments when she tries to break the 4th wall but much more few and far between. The writing was beautiful and the women were multi-dimensional, I really was expecting this to be a run of the mill feminist retelling. My only dislike was because of the vignette-style writing, I felt like I got into a particular story only for the next chapter to focus on someone else entirely. Other than that, this book exceeded my expectations!

[follows the stories of all the women who lived through the Trojan war] I liked this book mainly because I find the subject matter interesting but I didn’t love the writing it felt disorganized I feel like it might’ve been better to hear the story chronologically as opposed to trying to remember an obscure tidbit about a character from four chapters ago. Also it read like a non fiction or an essay collection not like an epic.
