Important life lesson learned/taught from the perspective of a 16 year old boy. A great read!
"We’re all free to choose some people to love, and then do it."
I never expected to like this book so much. It's funny, sad, and thought-provoking. I hope we all learn to forgive each other.

I read about five pages of this and said, yup this was written by a man.

When Jordan Sonnenblick talked about this book, he said that the idea for this one came from the actions of some of his students who were asked to write an apology letter and how truly bad and insincere these letter were. He also mentioned the small town he lived in had lost a number of teens in drunk driving accidents which actually starts this book off. I really love this book. Alex is angry and bitter and didn't feel he deserved his community service for hitting a garden gnome but a lot can change when a Alex meets Solomon Lewis. The writing was very witty and touching. I cannot wait to see what comes next!
The book is fine, i laughed quite a few times. Had to read it for school. The book was predictable though, and i hated the romance thing, but thats just my opinion. It felt unnecessary to me and like it was in the book just to be there, as if a girl and a guy cant be friends.
Loved the relationship between Alex and Sol though. Almost cried at the end.
