Another installment. Solid police procedural. With good character development and no graphic murders.

A bit slow, but still entertaining. I find myself laughing at/with DC and his VERY dry sense of humor.

Meaningful analysis of a death in an assisted living place in GB. DC Smith is investigating an elderly woman’s death by heroin overdose. His quiet respectfulness and savvy reasoning make these a delight to read. I really enjoyed the mystery and police procedural aspects of the story. Excellent character development.
