Cheesy, not what I expected, but still entertaining! Assassination subplot was so good!! Not a far of the “boy” thing, seems infantilizing and just isn’t for me.

The King’s Delight was worth the wait! This story has everything you could want from a mm historical romance: a king with no intention of marrying, a naughty stable groom who needs to be tamed, and a secret arrangement between said king & his groom that leads to some sweet and steamy moments. It checks all the boxes for the forbidden lovers and master & servant tropes, while incorporating all of the mystery, intrigue, danger and politics associated with earlier civilizations.

A word of forewarning, this story does incorporate some very light BDSM, mostly spanking. If that’s not your thing, it’s still possible to enjoy the book; most scenes involving that type of play telegraph it up front, making them easy to skim or skip over.
