I am saddened by the harm and crimes committed against the Osage community. I am not shocked that I had not heard of this history prior to the publicity the film provided, and I am grateful that I read this book before watching the movie. This book is well written, contains a lot of information, and raises more questions than it answers as one may except given the parties involved. Hopefully one day our society will commit to holding people and institutions accountable for their actions.
