I am loving these new Asterix and Obelix adventures! They are as silly and fun as an adult reader as they were when I was 8 - but with more contemporary jokes :)
Asterix, Obelix, Getafix and Dogmatix are visiting one of Getafix's friends, the Shaman Fanciakuppov, in the frozen north. Trouble has arrived in Fanciakuppov's village in the form of a Roman legion hunting for the legendary scared animal The Griffin and the legionaries have captured one of the tribe's warriors. It is up to Asterix and Obelix to save the day without the help of any magic potion! (It has frozen solid and lost its powers). But first Asterix and Obelix have to get used to co-operating with the tribes' warriors: the fearsome female part of the tribe known as Amazons (cue a lot of Amazon delivery puns). As the Shaman has predicted the day will be saved by the littlest Gaulish visitor!
