Another super cute story! I was confused until I realized it take place before the first, and then it was just adorable smooth sailing.

Just as beautiful as the first book, both with regards to the story and the art. It's really hard to express just how enchanting I find these books. I wish I could jump right into the pages and experience the lush, gorgeous world O'Neill has created.
I also like how this story, like the previous, has a sweet, gentle message about found families. Aside from the overt prettiness of the illustrations, there's a lot of human emotion and subtle beauty packed into the way the characters touch one another's arms, or the looks on their faces. I found myself studying many of their faces because I was just so captivated by the way O'Neill captures their emotions.
This is just such a lovely, lovely series. I can't recommend it highly enough.
