it was just… perfect. the same bleakness and bluntness and refusal to shy away from darkness that i loved in tender is the flesh, but with such compelling subject matter and theme, and most importantly, female voices. agustina i knew you #got it

A creepy post apocalyptic cult and a pathologically devoted protagonist who doesn't falter in her belief until a strange woman from the ruined world outside appears.

TAKE THE CONTENT WARNINGS SERIOUSLY. This book is graphic in its depiction of torture. If you're looking for a more supernatural and less bodily form of horror, this is not the book for you.

Interesting concept but the ending was kind of rushed.
