Honestly super cheesy and cliche. The ending felt really awkward and just didn't cut it for me

This book is a rather good ending to the beloved series. Still, I can't help but think America's story is more memorable and captivating than Eadlyn's. Now, I guess it's time for me to have a book hangover. The Selection has finally ended.

This was a much better read than the previous book. I think we were all a little surprised at how unlikable Edalyn turned out to be, but luckily this seems to have been the author's intention all along - the second half of the last book saw some hopeful signs of character growth and this definitely continued on into The Crown. Edalyn has grown a lot and seems to have turned the corner. She has learned to let others in and experience the world through new eyes and even better - she falls in love.

I read this entire book in almost one sitting. These books are just so easy to read and honestly I love when stories end up with happy endings. It was interesting to see the selection series from the side of the selector. I wish this book was a little bit longer. It just felt like we needed a few more chapters after the last one especially because the epilogue wasn't really an epilogue at all. I'm going to rate it 4 stars but I may come back later and change it after I have thought about it for a little bit.

Okay I have thought about the book more and I honestly believe that this book was very rushed. This part may contain *SPOILERS*. This is the shortest book in the entire series. I feel like the love that America and Maxom had was more developed and made sense. These last two books could have been lumped into one. I feel as though there was a budding friendship and then they were all of a sudden saying "I love you." It was very insta-lovey.

This book was so adorable. It made me feel sad when Eadlyn didn't make the decision I wanted her to make. But then she did. The end was kind of a rush of last minute feelings and choices in only a handful of pages. Overall, it was cute. I would have preferred it to be longer, and the beginning was a bit slow and perhaps the ending a bit rushed. But after waiting a year for this novel, I am satisfied with the ending and her final choice. Thanks Kiera Cass for a great series.
