This book is deep. Like seriously seriously deep. And beautiful. Like seriously seriously beautiful. I wish I would have read it along with a class or for some other reason so that I would have had context for it. Loved imagining the cities. Very fantastical.

Fantastic. Although there are altogether too many sultry women in Calvin's cities, his imagined lands are true distilled essences. Highly recommended.

Beautiful prose. I'll have to take a class on this someday to fully get all the little bits, but those elements I enjoyed have stuck with me since.
I know that I need to read this book again. I'm not going to give it a star rating because it feels cheap to do it (why does this book feel different than others? I don't know.) I'm glad I've read it though. I'd do well to revisit it.
