Bryan picked this out for me, it was alright, but not amazing. The idea is funny (which was why I read it).

I loved this book at first because I really enjoyed how unique the plot was, and the whole "team of misfits saving the world" is such a great trope. However, the book really lost momentum around the midway point and I was just bored by the end of it. The ending was very underwhelming and overdue. Plus, the main character was driven by insecurities that I felt the author did not personally relate to. The inner monologue was unrealistic and the fatphobia was unnecessary. Worse of all, the friend group felt disjointed till the end so the book was entirely missing that sense of camaraderie that makes these kind of misadventure storylines great.

Umm... not sure how I feel about this book. I enjoyed a lot of it, especially most of the dialogue sections, but the funny parts weren't necessarily my sense of humors, and the sad parts were way darker than I was expecting. It's also a bit too wordy for its own good - there are many pages with paragraphs that take up half the page for no important reason. But a really original concept with some interesting characters.

I would have like a longer conclusion examining the ramifications of the couch being returned or at least how the quest changed Erik and Thom's lives, but obviously on the whole the book garnered a five star review from me. A wonderful story and extremely well executed

I loved the characters in the book and the message. Althought I kinda hoped there were more to the ending. But it's a great funny read that is full of message.

Neat, rambly quest about 3 roommates on a mission to rid themselves of their big orange couch. I really liked the journey and the characters. The ultimate ending in the final couple of pages was a little ho-hum (and overtly religious) for my liking, though it didn't ruin my overall enjoyment of the story.

So different from other things I've been reading. Feels like very much a book for my generation. Amusing, creepy, profound, sweet.
