It was a little much for me. I really enjoy these books but this is something for the people who don't necessarily want to separate fiction from reality. There were "interviews" between the author and the brothers and I just found it a bit childish. The short story "Father Mine" was a nice addition though.

Worth if for the Bella & Z story alone. Also includes fun message board antics as well as some slices of life stories (I think most of these can be found on Ward's website). If you're just a casual fan I would suggest just downloading Z & Bella's story and reading others online. However, if like me, you love the Brothers, then this is a must have.

Huh. Well I just finished this and I am not sure what to say. The woman needs a shrink but I also think she is clever as hell with her self promotion. I at times thought The ego of this woman while I read this. Having the characters in your books interview you? Having 80 pages of the book being message boards from your fan site? I don't know. I enjoyed reading it but I just could NOT lose myself in this.

I did think a few times about stopping. I admit it. I think this book pulled back the curtain and showed too much of the little man working the machines. And even though the woman is shameless in her self promotion her naked insecurity left me cold. I get it. You like to go for runs. Your a perfectionist. Blah blah blah.

Yeah. I can't say I am a fan of this. Parts were entertaining - but. Yeah. It left me kind of cold.

A really funny read that explains the BDB world to the reader while embodying the male characters personality

Ok, this was not that interesting. I guess hardcore fans will enjoy interviews with the brothers, but I guess I am not that hardcore and I honestly feel this is just a way to get more money out of this.

Why was it worth reading then? Cos of the 100 page short story about Z after Nalla has been born. The rest I skimmed.

I only read it cos I borrowed it from a friend, but no in the end I learnt nothing new, sure that Nalla story was nice, but yes hardcore fans

This was a really amusing slice of real life from the guys and their mates.

Brilliantly funny insiders guide.

I think I love JR Ward and this series so much because she just makes it into a world, much like HP. It's like the characters write the books not her. They do what they want and this book shows them outside their normal settings.

It's hilarious, like everything she writes, yet the interview with Thor broke my heart!

This Insider's Guide to BDB is completely packed! The highlight for me was definitely the short story "Father Mine" about Zsadist. I absolutely loved it! This is a great addition to the library of any BDB fan. I know I'll go back and read bit and pieces here and there as the series continues. It's a very fun collection :)
