Grisham's comedic approach in this one really refreshes the formula.
I haven't read a Grisham book in a long time. I fell in love with Grisham's books sometime in the mid 90's and blew through them, but his recent books haven't been quite as good. This book was back on the right track, though it was heavier on the law and lighter on the action. Wally Figg's antics and dreams (which are clearly delusions) add a nice touch of humor to the book. While I wish that the plot of the book was more along the lines of A Time To Kill or The Client I enjoyed all the main characters, especially David Zinc.
I wished that the first and second plotlines were reversed. I found the second story to be more intriguing and I was more curious about the Nasty Teeth than the Krayoxx. The Nasty Teeth case involved a family and a sick child rather than lawyers and a few minor participants in that were in the Krayoxx case.
I know that this is a work of fiction but it is still interesting to learn some of the ins and outs of litigation. It's amazing at what both sides will do to ensure a victory.

Grisham never disappoints. I liked the fact that a high-powered lawyer cracked and then worked among the downtrodden.
A firm of ambulance chasing lawyers and a recent refugee of big business lawyering trying to hit it big in tort litigation. I liked the main character and his reasons for doing what he does. The others are interesting and slimy. The book shows good and bad examples of when we need the law to defend the one against the big corporations. It also highlights abuses in the system and the vast number who are out there for a buck no matter what the cost.
I don't know why but maybe I have read to many of his books now. They all seemed to be more of the same type of story. It got to where I could almost predict what was going to happen by the end of the story. Oh well.
This was a fun quick read. Maybe closer to a 3.5 rating in terms of character development, but since I did enjoy it, I rounded up!
I enjoy a good legal volume occasionally and this fits the bill perfectly. LOL
Honestly it is a fascinating world to hear about.

Book was ok.
Interesting to look out how the us legal system operates and quite depressing to consider the amount of games that go on, with so many man hours of work and costs.
