*2.5* Thak you Netgalley for giving me this copy in exchange for an honest review.
I honesty couldn't even finish the book. I loved the world and the magic. What killed this book for me was the writing. The pace was very slow, like a snail. I would be physically drained after reading a paragraph. Also it was overly descriptive, half a page would be nothing but description. It took away from the story and I honeslty couldn't deal with it. I've been trying to read this book for a month and I still haven't even gotten to the middle. Also because of all of the description I don't think I was able to understand who Tea is as a person. I never got what her personality is, I just felt like she was there. There was nothing significant to her, I also don't see the point in keeping the brother? He was just a bland side character.
Despite the problems I had with this book, I did like a couple of things. I liked how the story is told. Its told by Future Tea to another person, which I thought was interesting. I also loved the magic and how all magic has its limits. All because their asha doesn't mean they're God. Which I loved because a lot of times, especially in YA, they make it seem like once you have powers you're unstoppable.
However, the book couldn't grasp my attention long enough for me to finish it. Hopefully later on, I might pick it up again but for now my rating will stay as is.
