Hell's Paradise continues to be weird, strange, very violent, and yet I can't stop reading.
While maybe not as good as volume 1 the high energy this manga gives off is undeniable. The vicious fights both our Ninja/Samurai warrior have to go through to survive is great. Not to mention the sad but solid ending to a foe who might not have been so bad despite his actions. We also see a little "fuck you this is my own destiny" here. Though I have a feeling if this was in a marvel comic people would be claiming this writer is SJW for putting in the fact a Woman stands up to a man for telling her she's nothing more than a woman and her destiny is to breed and not fight. But you know, the online is filled with losers anyway.
Still this is a fun volume with brutal fights and plenty of plot progression for other characters. Even a psycho pair of twins. I'm excited to see where we go next.

A strong continuation for the series. The central mystery of the island and monsters is a fascinating one that I’m really getting invested in. There’s this idea of religious suncretism taking place that I hope the story explores a bit more going forward. Our central duo of Sagiri and Gabimaru is a cool one. The way they both deal with their burdens and support each other in them is very heartening. I especially like how they both are trying to learn how to embrace their feelings and come to understand themselves. I especially like how Sagiri is choosing to ignore gender completely and walk a middle ground between the two. A couple new characters are introduced in this volume that feel a bit absurd and I’m not too wild about them. The fight against the giant was a cool one that forced the hands and brains of the competitors.
