Pretentious people having mental breakdowns and smoking cigarettes, this is all I’ve ever wanted in a book.

this is difficult to rate. the first part, i really enjoyed and there were lots of interesting thoughts about ego, but the middle dragged a lot. also, what was up with the italics? at one point, i noticed how ridiculously often they were used, and then i couldn't unsee them anymore.
