Who was going to tell me this book had literal crack in it? This book absolutely consumed me.

Let’s get one thing straight. Stalking and breaking and entering are red flags

Honestly I was not sure I was going to like this book when people were raving about it. But I honestly ended up loving the book. The pacing was great and I loved how the two plot points interconnected by the end. I ended the book loving Zade and not caring about his murdering tendencies.

Let me start by saying that this book is heavy, not just in size, but in content matter. Now, I did thoroughly enjoy reading this book. But with that said, it was not an easy read. Both this book and the duet are books that I would recommend taking your time with, as it not only allows you to process the information, but it also allows you to make sure you’re following along and catching all of the small details. I really enjoyed learning a little bit about Zade’s background, and I also liked seeing a little bit into Addie’s past and seeing her learn about her grandmother and her great grandmother, but also getting to see a side of her parents that she doesn’t usually see. I think, adding in the letters that belonged to her great grandmother Gigi were a great addition to the book and having them at the end of each chapter so that you can slowly learn more and more about Addie’s past throughout the book in small sections. I enjoyed seeing the connections between Addie‘s great grandmother and Addie herself with them both having a stalker, but also both of them falling in love with them. It’s a great parallel to see how they both lived in the same house and they both had the same event happen just in different times, and in different ways. After I finish this book, I did move straight into hunting Adaline and that book was a little bit darker and harder to read but I also thoroughly enjoyed that and so I will definitely be following up this review with a review on that one.

This book wasn’t like I expected. I knew going into it that it was a dark romance however I think it really lacked romance. I would have liked to see a shift happen where she started to soften and turn to Zade in their moments but it really wasn’t there.

Planning to update review later.

I absolutely loved this book! The spice level was top notch and I could not quit reading! The story was so insane, but absolutely hooks you from the start!

The writing is so poor that I stopped right away. It is a difficult read to get through and writing that lacks an actual narrative worth following. I know this is a favorite amongst many readers but for me, the writing is just really bad.
